Overview

The Reelmaster® 5010-H is the industry’s first and only reel mower with a true hybrid drive system. The Reelmaster 5010-H utilizes a Kubota 22.9 hp (17.1 kW) diesel engine in concert with an in-line motor generator and a self-recharging 48-volt battery pack to provide seamless power to the vehicle and cutting units. The combination of these two power sources comprises Toro’s patented hybrid power delivery system called PowerMatch™. PowerMatch enables the Reelmaster 5010-H to match the power generated to the power required for all cutting conditions. The result is the availability of over 40 horsepower, but only when cutting conditions require it, which saves on average 20% fuel usage, improving operating costs, and the vehicle’s carbon footprint.

InfoCenter™

• Easily set and save maximum mow and transport speeds, view cruise control speed setting and monitor system information and service reminders and more with ease on the new console mounted InfoCenter™.

Versatility

• The Reelmaster 5010-H has a Plug and Play feature that allows it to accept 5-inch or 7-inch diameter DPA cutting units. Simply plug in the cutting unit and motors of your choice and the machine automatically makes all the necessary adjustments. The 5010-H can be equipped with 5" or 7" reels, in either 8 or 11 blade configurations.

Efficient Reel Control & Performance

• Through the InfoCenter™, electric reel motors allow for precise setting of the reel speed and clip rate providing consistent power across all five cutting units for a superior cut. The cutting units also feature low-drag seals and low-friction bearing which improve wear and reduce the required horsepower to run the decks.

48 Volt Battery Pack

• The battery pack is made up of four, 12-volt, Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries that are maintenance-free and sealed. The batteries are very similar to the ones used in the automobile industry for start-stop hybrids. These batteries are designed for a very long life when they are shallowly discharged and repeatedly recharged with a system like our PowerMatch™.

PowerMatch™

• With over 40 hp (29.8 kW) available , the PowerMatch system can handle verticutting, scalping, and steep hills. Power is used so efficiently that the Reelmaster 5010-H can perform at least on-par, and in many cases better than much higher horsepower machines. Nearly 10 years of vigorous real-world testing have proven the Reelmaster 5010-H has the power to perform in the most rigorous conditions, and the efficiency to keep it up year after year.

Worry Free

• Removing the hydraulic cutting mowers and replacing them with electric motors on the Reelmaster 5010-H resulted in over 100 fewer leak points than a conventional 100" fairway mower. The remaining vehicle and cutting unit lift system hydraulic lines are predominately hard lines or hoses with limited movement, and are not subject to the same fatigue or service intervals as the cutting unit hoses and motors.

• Dual Precision Adjustment (DPA) cutting units – featuring Toro’s EdgeSeries™ reels combine to deliver a consistent, high quality cut and superior after cut appearance, while reducing maintenance with improved reel edge retention.

Fuel Savings

• Reelmaster 5010-H is the only fairway mower with a true hybrid powerplant. Like a hybrid vehicle, PowerMatch™ technology provides additional horsepower from the onboard battery pack only when it is needed, allowing the mower to perform on par with other similar mowers, while the smaller displacement engine provides unmatched fuel economy in this mower segment.

Electronic Cruise Control

• Switch activated and push button adjustable electronic cruise control allows operators to easily maintain a constant mowing speed for consistent results. It can also be used to set up a "slow in turn" to minimize the risk of turf damage.

Proven Platform

• Built on the same proven platform that has become the industry standard, the Reelmaster 5010-H provides the same durability, mowing performance, operator comfort and serviceability ease of the legendary 5010 series of mowers while eliminating the potential for oil leaks from a traditional hydraulic mow circuit.
