Common Problems

Signs your mower needs service.

Catching small issues early prevents bigger repairs. These are the most common problems our technicians see on riding mowers and zero-turns.

01
Won’t Start
Stale fuel, a fouled spark plug, or a weak battery are the most common culprits — especially after winter storage. Our technicians will diagnose and resolve starting issues quickly.
02
Hydrostatic Drive Slipping
If your zero-turn loses power or feels sluggish in drive, a worn drive belt, low hydraulic fluid, or tired pump may be to blame. Hydrostatic issues worsen quickly if left unaddressed.
03
Uneven Cut Quality
A damaged or dull blade, unlevel deck, or worn spindle bearing causes scalping, streaking, or an uneven finish. Blade and deck service restore a clean, consistent cut.
04
Battery Won’t Hold Charge
End-of-life batteries and charging system faults are common after a full season. We test the battery, alternator, and charging circuit to find the root cause.
05
Excessive Vibration
A bent blade, loose spindle, or worn blade adapter produces vibration that can damage bearings and deck components over time. Address vibration at the first sign.
06
PTO Won’t Engage
A worn PTO clutch, frayed cable, or failed switch keeps the blade from spinning. Our technicians inspect the full PTO system and restore proper engagement.
